Primary 7 Term 1

So far we have had a very busy time in Primary 7. The Primary 7 year group performed the first assembly of the school year “Living Life to the Full”. It was a great success as the pupils had taken time to carefully learn their lines and they sang their class song “The Climb” beautifully. It was very well supported by our parents who gave us fantastic feedback on our performance. It was also a special day as the P7s were presented with their senior ties from the Parent Council which they now wear with pride. We have been very busy working on our topic Social Studies topic “India”. We created a learning plan where we had the chance to plan what we would like to learn about and how we would like to learn. We started with learning about where India is in the world and about the main cities. We created Kipper Ties which were inspired by the Paisley Pattern which originated in India. They look fantastic on our display. We enjoyed a visit from the SSPCA who came to talk to the class about caring for our pets and explain the role of the SSPCA. We found it very interesting and useful as so many of us have pets at home. HEALTH AND WELLBEING As part of our Health and Well-being programme we have been learning about the importance of hygiene. We have focussed on the need to shower and wash our hair to keep our bodies clean and healthy. We have to brush our teeth at least twice daily to ensure we have good oral hygiene. As part of the Health Calendar we have been learning about relaxation. It is important to relax and develop strategies to help us relax in our busy lives. We have really enjoyed doing the massage programme. Here are some of us enjoying giving and receiving massages.
We have so many exciting projects in Primary 7 including the re-launch of Kickstart in term 2 and our Food and Learning project where we are enjoying amazing cooking sessions with a head chef from a local hotel, Pascal. We are so grateful for his support and expertise. Look out for photos coming soon.
